Hi! I'm new to this forum, I love your channel and I wanted my first post to be a theory that I made.
So at first glance these two themes are very different from each other. Aqua Raiders is a theme with multiple waves & will be remembered and loved by many LEGO fans, while Monster Fighters was only for one wave (the theme's release date of October probably means it was for the Halloween season) and isn't talked about as much by the community. Well I have found a link! In a late 2012 issue of the LEGO Club Magazine, there was a comic showing how Dr. Rodney Rathbone and his team managed to defeat the monsters. At the end of the comic as the monsters fly off into the sky a beacon shines and is seen from the moon by none other than the Insectoids from Galaxy Squad. While there are no clear hints to Aqua Raiders in Galaxy Squad, there is one character that sticks out, Solomon Blaze. As you can see from the link, he appeared in both Galaxy Squad and Ultra Agents. Just like Galaxy Squad, there is no direct reference to Aqua Raiders, but one set reminded me of another underwater LEGO theme. AntiMatter's Portal Hideout was released in August of 2015, now where else have we seen a fortress that revolves around a portal (No, it's not Lego Dimensions). LEGO Atlantis is about a group of divers searching for the Lost City of Atlantis, one set shows us not only another fortress that revolves around a portal, but that, as far as we know, you have to use a portal to reach Atlantis! now what if I told you that the portal that AntiMatter is using, leads to Atlantis. The Atlantis line tells us that there is great power within the city, and as most villains do, AntiMatter wants POWER!!!! Obviously a Super Villain wont be allowed anywhere near the Portal of Atlantis, so he has to make his own. How does this relate to Aqua Raiders? Well look at the Portal of Atlantis one more time, there's a skeleton of a diver by one of the gates, just a normal diver, right? Now look at the logo on his helmet, doesn't it seem familiar? That's right! That is the corpse of an Aqua Raiders Diver! But why would he be there? Aren't the Aqua Raiders treasure hunters? Well, there's one question no one asks, what treasure do they want? The sets mostly show them collecting gems, but tha'ts not what they want. They want the Keys to Atlantis, they probably sent a diver to find this portal so once they found the Keys, they'd know where to go. The Crew waits a few days and the diver never returns, they don't even send a search party. After this they abandon the mission leaving the Keys to Atlantis for someone else to find, and that is the true story of Aqua Raiders...
BONUS: This guy from Monster Fighters is said to be related to this guy from Minifigures

Hi Blockix, thanks for your interest!
Overall, I think your theory is pretty well supported and insightful! What stands out to me is why the diver would be at the gates to Atlantis in the first place. I think that if any of the Monster Fighters were there, they would be surprised to see giant squid, manta ray, and shark hybrid monsters themselves! It would almost seem, if we can get more facts, that there is a tradition of monster hunting and fighting across the LEGO universe that's bigger than just Rodney Rathbone and his band of merry men. That would be an awesome theory you could use as your main theory, while using all of the above as support material to back it up.
Personally, I'm not sure the link between the Portal Hideout and Atlantis will quite work unless you can provide some more evidence. Perhaps they are built the same way? Require the same power source? Perhaps you can prove the Portal Hideout is AntiMatter's new way of getting to Atlantis! Either way, things to think about.
Thank you for your theory!

Thanks! I still haven't found any evidence to support how the Portal Hideout is related to Atlantis besides the fact that the AntiMatter's henchmen is named SharX and became that way by being in contact with sharks possibly exposed to Atlantis's power, but I don't have evidence to back that up either

That's no problem, I'm sure we can work it out!
I'm just gonna give you my thoughts and you can go with them as you'd like. Now, from the eyes of a YouTube viewer, it may seem a little ambitious to suggest that Monster Fighters and Aqua Raiders are related. Think of it this way - if I'm a YouTube viewer browsing around and I see a video called "How Monster Fighters connects to Aqua Raiders," my first instinct will be "Yeah, right!" and I'll probably click on something else because it sounds too contrived. What you could do, though, is expand the theory a little more than just Monster Fighters and Aqua Raiders.
Here's one way you could think of this: what do the Monster Fighters crew and the Aqua Raiders crew have in common? They fight monsters. Consider that in Lego City, what we would consider as "normal" minifigure life, monsters don't show up a whole lot. In fact, it seems there are a select group of minifigures that even fight monsters at all. We see Rodney's crew, but also, Jake Raines and his crew hunt monsters as well. In fact, it seems the Atlantis crew hunts monsters too, during their search for Atlantis. So what you can do is take your theory and apply it to a little bit of a bigger scale. Maybe you can make your theory about the connected monster-fighting/hunting society within the Lego universe.
That way, you can connect the Aqua Raiders crew with the Atlantis crew and their underwater fight against monsters. You can connect Atlantis to Ultra Agents and suggest that AntiMatter was trying to get back into Atlantis (this could be tricky, but there may be evidence. If not, you can skip Ultra Agents entirely). Now it may not be in your best interest to connect to Galaxy Squad since that's a little tricky to draw connections. But, you may be able to connect back to Atlantis, thanks to Monster Fighter's Frank Rock (http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Frank_Rock). Note: "According to Dr. Rodney Rathbone, his real name is Franklin Rhodes." Possible connection to Samantha Rhodes of the Atlantis Crew (http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Professor_Sam_Rhodes), who seems to know an awful lot about the legends of Atlantis and the monsters guarding it? And since we had a minifigure die at the gates of Atlantis courtesy of Aqua Raiders, we have our connection - a mysterious society of monster fighters across the Lego universe, working in the dark to protect the world from monstrous threats.
Also, read this (http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/LEGO_Atlantis:_The_Movie): "Professor Sam Rhodes based her theory around the work of underwater station that disappeared. This was likely the Aquabase (7775 Aquabase Invasion) from the Aqua Raiders theme, a reference to the last major underwater LEGO theme. This is further confirmed by the appearance of the submarine from 7774 Crab Crusher, which the Professor said was from the station. The destruction of the sub may be the symbolic for Aqua Raider's replacement by Atlantis; one theme's sub destroyed by the next.
Ironically, the sub from 7774 Crab Crusher was discovered by the Atlantis crew when they were being chased by a similar giant crab, further strengthening the connection."
Those are just my thoughts - let me know what you think!

This makes sense! Especially since there are a bunch of monsters in the LEGO universe. Plus, in the Tournament of Elements season of Ninjago, one of the competitors is an Ultra Agents villain, meaning Ninjago is in the same world as these other themes. And as seen in many episodes of Ninjago, there are lots of monsters, so it's not that big of a stretch that the monsters from the other themes exist in that world as well. The only problem with adding Ninjago is that it wouldn't make sense that when something like the Great Devourer attacks Ninjago City, no one else really comes to help. Even though the only group that would help with that would be the Monster Fighters, and since the Great Devourer attacked in 2012, and the Monster Fighters were fighting Lord Vampyre that year, I can see why they couldn't come.
I think the reason the submarine from the Crab Crusher was crashed was by that crab, and the Diver in the set, who was the one sent to find Atlantis, decided to try and swim there on his own, and we all know how that turned out

Aw yeah, now we're talking! I think you've got a pretty solid theory on your hands so far. You'd be doing yourself a favor if you didn't worry Ninjago for now - but in the future, that could be an angle worth exploring. And I like your connections with the Crab Crusher sub - didn't think that could have been the same diver.

Additional note: check out this set description from Atlantis Set 7984-1: Deep Sea Raider (http://brickset.com/sets/7984-1/Deep-Sea-Raider) "Drill a path to the riches! Recruited to dig and drill through the dangerous ruins, excavation expert Dr. Brains from the LEGO® Power Miners is trying to get to the treasure! Open the back compartment and release the mini sub for tight squeezes! Can he outwit the angry hammerhead guardian to retrieve the treasure and legendary body armor? Set includes 2 minifigures and mini sub." Note Dr. Brains' involvement in the Power Miners theme ... Pardon my pun, but it seems as if your theory goes even deeper than just Atlantis!

The Monster in this set has the same name as one of the Power Miners rock monsters. Plus, both Infernox'es are lava themed

Good eye! By the way, are you a Brickfilmer on YouTube? I've been looking around to see if I can find you but haven't found your channel. I'm from Gold Brick Productions, by the way

I just realized another major flaw to this theory, why is AntiMatter building this portal to Atlantis where a bunch of people can see it From what I've found, AntiMatter's portal is supposed to release dark energy upon Astor City. Does that energy come from Atlantis? I'm not convinced since Atlantis is a bright and light-filled place, so that may not help resolve the flaw ...
