The good news is that Kahi from TTV commented on our Brick Theory video!
The bad news is he destroyed my Ninjago theory with four sentences.
From his comment:
Honestly, he's got a point. From my research mentality, my focus on the video was to disprove time travel within Ninjago - the whole alternate universe thing was more of filler content. Here's what I commented as a reply:
"The more I think about it and go back through my notes, the more I've gotta agree that your points are valid. I admit near the end of the video that the alternate-universe theory is somewhat of a lazy catch-all theory because the infinite probability means we can say whatever we want.
Off the top of my head, I could say that the ninja in the last dimension ended up switching places with the current ninja, but that seems too open ended. I could also say something like "Well, it's the alternate universe where there are no ninja but Lloyd still recognizes or was waiting for them!" but that's very lazy and fairly irrational, even if there is a probability of its existence. So right now, I don't have a good answer.
I still hold that the time travel aspect doesn't work, but now I've got to rethink the alternate universe angle. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts too, how you reconcile the episode. Considering what the BT lineup is looking like for the next few episodes, I'd be interested in doing a theory redo video to make sense of this plot point - and I would appreciate your insight.
Thanks for your comments!

That, and I just completed the Hands Of Time season. Goodness gracious, it's a minefield! That, combined with the discussion on the video, makes me think we could use a Part 2 video at some point in the future. I want to try again and see if we could get the alternate universe theory to work, while eradicating the inconsistencies. If possible, I'd like to talk more with Kahi and see what he thinks, perhaps get his help with this video.
Thoughts?

From his comment:
"So, what doesn't make sense to me is that in the last dimension you're talking about, the one where the Mega Weapon doesn't exist but Lloyd is still an adult, what happen to that dimension's Ninja? If the Mega Weapon is a dimension hopping gateway instead of a time travel gateway, that mean that the last dimension's Ninja didn't go anywhere. And Lloyd recognizes them, so they obviously existed. So if what you're saying is true, the Ninja should have confronted their alternate universe selves from a world where they didn't hop dimensions, but they didn't. Time travel has it's plot holes and paradoxes (why is Lloyd an adult, if the Mega Weapon was never used to turn the Ninjas into kids?) but I don't feel like this theory actually fixes any of it."
