So ever since Rebooted the whereabouts of the Overlord are still unknown, the only information we have is that he isn’t dead. If he isn’t dead, than where is he?
Theory 1: Zane
The Overlord after defeat can only live on in mortal beings or technology, Zane being both of those (kinda) is a valid candidate. He may not be controlling Zane, but could live within him. It’s possible that the way Zane managed to travel through the Borg Industries System is by the Overlord living within Zane, Zane most likely doesn’t know this since Zane would have snitched on the Overlord by now. There are two problems with this, first of all Zane is A.I meaning that he may have had the ability to travel through technology the whole time, but just didn’t know it, second, Pixal, who also lives within Zane, would have found the Overlord by now.
Theory 2: Ronin
This one is a bit of a stretch, but bare with me here. Ronin is an odd character, he does/would help the enemy at times, but once the Ninja start losing his trust he turns on the enemy. What if this isn’t weird behavior, what if Ronin needs to do this so he can get close enough to the ninja and destroy him because he’s the Overlord in disguise? What may have happened is that, since the Overlord can live on in mortal bodies, sometime between Rebooted and the Ninja’s first encounter with Ronin, the oVerlord May have found a Mercenary named Ronin and made a deal with him, Ronin can do his business but whenever the OVerlord finds a way to gain the Ninja’s trust, The Oberlord has to take over.
